Happy Sunday!
I got nothin’ today, so here’s a photo of a hipster with his face airbrushed on a t-shirt.

Thank you, Gawker

Your Mom is Not a Valid Test Market
‘Your Mom’ what a classic phrase. It brings to me thoughts of other classic phrases like ‘that’s what she said’ and ‘NOT!’. ‘Your mom’ has spawned too many t designs than there need to be This one is one of the better ones I have seen:

It comes from Venture Capital Wear. This site produces t’s with sayings that I guess venture capitalists would want on shirts. Not being a venture capitalist, I wouldn’t know. I don’t have that any kind of fun money. However, everyone does deserve a message t concerning their life. And who doesn’t like a ‘your mom’ t?

Teecycle.org
Today, I came across a super-sweet blog; teecycle.org . You can sell your cool old t’s through these people. Yes I know, you COULD do it through e-bay, or craigslist. Or you COULD rummage through your neighborhood thrift shop. But c’mon! Everyone knows specialized sites are waaaay cooler! And the internet doesn’t smell like grandma .
I like almost all of the t’s on this site, here is one of my favorites:
You should also check out the PBR one .

Bedford Ave. Station
The website Fatlab . is:
“The Free Art and Technology Lab is an organization dedicated to enriching the public domain through the research and development of creative technologies and media. The entire FAT network of artists, engineers, scientists, lawyers, musicians and Bornas are committed to supporting open values and the public domain through the use of emerging open licenses, support for open entrepreneurship and the admonishment of secrecy, copyright monopolies and patents.”
(yes, I just quoted that from their site, because they put it best)
The site is pretty sick. There is some great stuff is on there. All very crunchy and brooklyn-y. But as it is the theme with this blog, I am here to talk about the t-shirt offerings that they have at their store.
Among many of the styles, I was really drawn to this one, because I love meaningful street art ( a.k.a. graffiti) and because I am, perhaps, slightly obsessed with NYC. So check it:

AND the t’s are printed on American Apparel . Really who doesn’t like them?
Thank YOU Free Art & Technology ,

T-shirt stories
I am in the business of creating shirts that are worth a story. People come in and commission shirts for a reason.
I think though that many shirts have a story behind them even if it is just one that you bought off the shelf.
Here is a concept, perhaps not original, but interesting: T-shirt Log
Here is the story behind ever t in this guy’s closet. I am sure that everyone could do this, and I think that many of their stories would be more interesting than the ones that they tell when going through old Christmas photos.
Thank YOU T-shirt Log . Sorry, petie.
